Ubisoft have specified a release date for the first DLC package for their hit sequel to Assassin's Creed

The first piece of downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed 2 has now been dated and priced.

The DLC, entitled “Battle of Forli”, will be released on January 28th on both Xbox Live and PSN for 320MSP and £3.99 respectively. There will be new missions contained in the add-on, and it is to be followed up by a second piece of DLC, “Bonfire of the Vanities” next month.

Banking on a demo to decide whether or not to buy Assassins Creed II?  Well Ubisoft have just shattered that idea by telling us that a demo will not be available for Assassins Creed II.  Open world games tend to not have demos so we can’t say we’re surprised by this announcement but hell we all know AC2 will be cooler than the coolest thing since cool things originated.

New Assassins Creed II gameplay released.

So when the debut Assassins Creed II trailer was shown at E3 earlier this year, many of us gawked in awe at the new perks and moves that the new protagonist ‘Ezio’ could do. Living up to ‘Altair’ would be a hard task indeed, but ‘Ezio’ seems better in every way possible.

Yesterday, the team behind the game, Ubisoft, officially released another gameplay video. In the video we are enlightened with more of the moves that can be conducted by the player including lots of bashes to the head – I don’t think a smoothie could cure that in the morning. At the beginning of the video a collection of sculptured shots take us through a variety of painted portraits, including the famous “Mona Lisa” and “The Last Supper”, again enforcing the themes of Da Vinci and his works.

Assassins Creed II is released 20th November and is available to preorder now on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
