Beatles

This Wednesday, on a day that has numerologists reaching for their slide-rules and followers of the Mayan calendar looking to the skies many of us will Come Together at our nearest retailers to take home the latest in the long-running Rock Band series. This isn’t any Octopus’s Garden Rock Band release though as The Beatles Rock Band (released on 9.9.09) is a landmark in the fact that it is the first time ever that their music has been available digitally.

45 original masters spanning their career from cavern to rooftop concert (DLC will follow in the near future), 3 part vocal harmonies, the blessing of the existing Beatles and the partners of the others along with hours of meticulous archive work make this a package that will appeal to Rock Band aficionados and die-hard Beatles fans alike.

A Band in a Box pack is of course available with replicas of the guitars and drums but it is the behind the scenes snippets and info tidbits that raise this above being just another track pack.

The Beatles Rock Band is released on Wednesday September 9 for Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii
