Konami have announced that they are looking into “very aggressively” incorporating the use of Xbox 360’s Project Natal and Playstation 3’s Motion Wand in future Pro Evolution Soccer releases. Whatever “very aggressively” means, maybe it’s what PES needs to win its yearly battle with FIFA.

PES producer Shingo ‘Seabass’ Takatsuka said, “Up until 2009 we believed all the platforms should have the same controls and features. That’s no longer the case, because there are specific controllers for different machines, what with Natal and the PlayStation motion sensor system.” He went on to say, “I cannot say much, but I can say we are looking at integrating those devices into our games very aggressively.”

Obviously Konami has already used motion sensor controls in PES 2008 and 2009 for the Wii, so incorporation of the Motion Wand will probably be similar to this. However, how PES will work with Natal is anyone’s guess! Running on the spot? Kicking into thin air? Slide tackling the floor?
