If you’re a Pokemon fan (let’s face it, most of us were at some point) then you’ll probably be pleased to hear that new information about upcoming Pokemon Black & White has been dropped in your lap. While the official site wasn’t due to update with the new info until tomorrow Coro Coro Comics managed to get the details in advance, along with the first screenshots.

The screenshots show newcomer Pokemon Zorua and Zoroark fighting it out on the battle screen. Also shown are some town and field sections, all of which I’m sure will be scanned and placed on the Internet in no time (which means they’re probably already on the net somewhere).

The game will also be the first in the series to go 3D; which means that areas such as battles, fields and towns will appear 3D – the towns and fields actually presented from a 3/4 perspective. We’re talking 3D polygons here, not the coming out of the screen 3D that the 3DS will have.

Towns are said to be more realistic, with high rise buildings and additional shops in the Pokemon Centre. Battles will be more heated, whatever that means, and there’s something about ‘Evolution 3’ that not even the magazine seems to know much about.

Hopefully we’ll learn a lot more soon, including the reveal of more Pokemon aside from the two we already know about. At least it seems like Nintendo is trying to revive a series that has effectively gone stale, at least in terms of gameplay.
