Competition in the UK has resulted in good news for gamers. If you’re happy to wait until tomorrow, and get up early and stand in line, you could get a copy of Modern Warfare 2 for as little as £26, £9.99 with a recent trade-in. The shops stack up like this:

Microsoft have just confirmed that the Xbox 360 Elite has just dropped to £199.99 in the UK alongside the Pro 60gb model being phased out.  The Arcade has seen a price increase to £159.99 and has also lost its 5 free games.  The Elite model has been reported to only include the standard AV cables as opposed to the HDMI cable that it used to ship with.  We expect that the remaining Pro consoles in circulation will drop in price over the next few days and we expect some serious bargains in the route to Christmas.

ASDA has officialy priced the 80gb Playstation 3 at £249 and includes Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Blu-ray aswell as Terminator: Salvation the game and a choice between Ghostbusters or InFamous.

The deal will only last until stock runs out and by our guess they won’t last long so go and get yours now.
